Fez·o·cide
/ˈfezəˌsīd/
Noun.

The deliberate killing of an indie game sequel, esp. via social media venues.

“Did you just see Phil Fish commit fezocide? It was hilarious!”

So here’s a link to the happenings (directed by M. Night Shyamalan)… It’s all pretty great. I actually did love Fez, and beat it on the Xbox. It’s mystical mixture of 8-bit and acid trip kept me going for days.

While I am disappointed that there “won’t be a Fez II”, I’ve been able to successfully remove myself from the disappointment to laugh at Fish’s over reaction.

Give a man a Fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to Fish, and he’ll drive your successful indie cred into the ground in a pile of soldering ash.
